Chips and Salsa

Ultimate comfort food, right there. I might actually a trade shoot so long as you had them all day on set. Boyfriend recently bought hot and medium salsa, for him and me respectively. We went through a whole bag in one night - well, mostly him, eating just chips, meaning that he got a tummy ache and gross feelings in the morning. I got us a second bag to finish off the salsas, and finished my nummy medium stuff this morning. Now there's half a bag of crunchy, wonderful chips, and half a jar of hot salsa. If only my taste buds could man up, but I think any attempt to conquer that mountain would fail miserably right now.

In case you don't know, I have this awful habit of telling ridiculous, uninteresting stories and thinking that everyone will love them. What's worse, I've gotten a reputation for it, so now I do it shamelessly without a slight attempt at restraint. This is why we don't let Gwen drink at shoots. Well that, and she becomes way too excitable and won't stay still for a pose.

Today's picture is also from Ken of LWP. It seemed quite unfair to not post one of the gorgeous nudes that we did. Here's an implied, just because so many people hate hand bras and I never post implieds.

Old Friends

Some of you may know that I took a rather unexpected hiatus at the end of last summer, tragically not to return until after this school year. I cannot apologize enough for the messages I ignored and friends I failed to contact. If you happened to know me that past summer, or attempted to contact me anytime thereafter, I beg for your forgiveness and strongly encourage you to message me again. I'm really eager to shoot as much as possible in the whole gamut of genres.

I remembered this when Kenny of LWP came up to me at Chanel's birthday party. I was so, so, so glad that he actually approached me. Moreover, there was no resentment from the unreturned calls, no accusations or anything. I was so glad to rekindle that connection. This shot is from that particular shoot. There were so many fantastic images. It was one of the first times I really learned about shooting fashion, and oh boy, I loved it. Hopefully we'll shoot again real soon. =)

Another big thank you to everyone who welcomed me back to modeling. It was a tough year, and your encouragement helped so much.

Wardrobe!

After that fantastic fetish shoot, I have such an itching for new shiny, leathery, metal, torturous, latex devices and outfits. Meaning, I would be absolutely ecstatic if we could arrange a trade where such things were exchanged. I would also be more than delighted to simply shoot with said articles. It's really just too fun.

Today's pic is from about a month ago. The lovely woman in the middle, Maranda, painted the four of us fro her mother's surprise party (far right). We statues had an amazing time from helping to paint one another to dancing it up with the incredibly fun 80's cover band. Her mother was so wonderfully happy, it was completely worth the hours of standing around. I really loved every minute of it. The photographer of the night was her friend Joe.

Which reminds me, I'm actually thinking of getting into go go dancing. After all the raves and everything else, it seems like something I might really enjoy. If anyone has any tips or connections, I would be very flattered and appreciative.

Whoopsies

Missed one. =)

Yesterday was an incredible. I had so much fun on the suspension sets (it was cloth, not rope), and reports say I wasn't too shabby either. My muscles are now screaming in agony and desperately want someone to take them to a spa, but oh well. I met so many amazing people at both Hal's shoot and Chanel's Bday. Sorry I didn't stay longer at the second. It was the end of a very long day, for both Torrid and I. Be sure to check out this thread for (hopefully) awesome photos of us in the next few days.

Also! Hal said he'd be more than happy to let me swing around on his suspension set whenever I please, so long as he can snap a few shots. So if you want to have me upside down, bending in half, sweating up a storm, and having a blast - let's do something like that. During one of the private one on ones we put a divan underneath the scarves for a more casual, drapery feel. It turned out really sweet, as I could play with the couch and the aerial work. I'd love, love, love to wheel in a sexy Harley and do something similar *wink*

Today's shot is an OMP Showcase from the fabulous Don Armstrong who I just love to pieces. I'm still booking like mad and would love a little message in my inbox - although there are still 15 unread ones after yesterday. Eep!

Meet and Greets!

I mentioned last blog that I'll be at a fetish shoot. I'm also planning on attending Chanel Rene's MnG later that evening. The lovely torrid will be in tow, if there are any fans also glancing at my freshly reopened blog.

(Wh)orlando Perez is also having another open forum on September 8th. While we've had a hard time scheduling our shoot. Things will come together, though, and I am much excited.

Today's photo is from DW. This one was taken on his patio in LA. I was actually just posing along, when I got tired of having my hair in my face. Miraculously enough, everything came together in this spur of the moment shot. Hair flips may be trite, and they may break my neck from time to time, but this one was magic.

Shakespeare Concepts Again

Want to emphasize that I really am completely, totally down to do this. Moreover, it could actually help me in school! Which means I would be x5 more excited to do something like this. We're studying Midsummer Night's Dream, Winter's Tale, Much Ado, Taming of the Shrew, and one more - As You Like It? Anyways, we have to do a visual project for each. Since this would be presented to some of my peers, I'd like to keep my special bits covered, but by no means do we have to do that for the entire shoot.

I would love to do a full scale shoot collaboration: location scouting, make-up, hair, multiple models if we want, photoshop, the whole gambit. Speaking of which, I mentioned that I'm learning photoshop in the last post. Just to prove it, here's one of the photos from my shoot with Jim Garrett from maybe a month ago. Please, rip me to shreds on this. I'd love all the feedback possible. I think I'm most proud of the really bad hotspots that I eliminated on my face and arm.

In other news, if there are any fetish folk looking for a fun shoot, I'll be at Glass Slipper next Saturday (28th).

Here It Goes Again

Waste time with apologies? Nah. I've learned photoshop from Don Armstrong, taking a class in it this semester. Which reminds me, Availability Update:

Tuesdays are right out. Thursday afternoons are busy too. Both for class. And then the real exciting stuff: Haunt 2010 right around the corner! Starting Sept 23rd, I'll be working Weds-Sun in the maze Labyrinth, come check it out!

I'll be shooting (hopefully) twice per week during Haunt (that's including school work too). One paid one trade shoot each week. I'll update as those fill up. In the meantime, I'm booking like crazy for the month of September.

Edits to the site hopefully going to happen in the next few hours/days.

Today's shot from a few weeks back, from the amazing RC

Hiatus!

EDC is this weekend and friends came down unexpectedly early, so I didn't have a chance to post ahead. I'll get right back on asap, including editing the size of that monstrous picture! Sorry everyone.

Friends

These are actually all people that I've met in ordinary social circumstances and then discovered their posing talents. I'm really close to all of them and would be delighted and comfortable shooting, should anyone reading this desire a paired or group shoot. I get along with strangers too, at least I believe myself to be a pleasant person. These guys, however, are also on my wave length, and when all the input signals align, awesome stuff can happen. Well, without further ado:

Indigo! She's a fresh face with a vast creativity and drive. She got to shoot underwater on her third venture! I admit, I'm a tad bit jealous, as the one offer I had fell through. I am also very interested in helping with make-up, hair, and wardrobe; perhaps I'll eventually make solid ventures down that avenue. We have the same size feet too, funny enough! She already kindly volunteered her time for one of my shoots at sunrise, so I owe her a favor.

Jake is a fantastic model who does a lot of figure drawing and art classes. We finally posed together just earlier this week, and things really meshed well. I'm definitely interested in working with him further, especially any further figure work.

Best for last, Keith is my darling love, and while we have not yet posed together, both of us are very excited and eager. We're mellow, comfortable people with a great, professional work ethic. We actually held jobs in the same maze, in almost the same area at Knott's Scary Farm this past year with none of the expected, crazed drama. I don't plan on twisting any arms; I know a lot of photographers avoid boyfriends like the plague, but I would be delighted if someone could give us a chance.

Shakespeare Conceptual

I took Shakespeare this past semester - I'm a Creative Writing Major at Chapman University - and really fell in love with his portrayal of women. Perhaps love is a strong word, but I was highly intrigued. We focused on the tragedies and romances, which were definitely my preferred genres. During the study of Othello our teacher was talking about how moving the murder of innocent Desdemona is, how stirring it is to watch a black man strangle the innocent women. The social implications and struggles inherent in our society take a volatile spin in such a context. You can immediately imagine where my head went: Gotta shoot that.

The intrigue does not stop at the tale of the Moor. I would love to do Ophelia, drowned among her flowers, and the previous descent into madness. Lady Macbeth, if paired with the right male model, would also be tremendous. I can most certainly entertain the idea of happier plots - A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, etc. These suggestions need not remain bound to their originating time frame and setting. It tickles my macabre side to picture the same stirring themes in a contemporary world of sin, tossed into a futuristic cyber space, or even thrown back into more primal times. Clearly my head still wanders with these concepts, but multiple interpretations also allows for different collaborators. So even if this idea does come to fruition, I'd be more than happy to sew seeds in other soils too and savor the subtle differences.

Another picture from Josh Lyon today. I promise I'll start mixing it up before too long, but as I rekindle my modeling aspirations, its fantastically fulfilling and humbling to remind myself of these roots. This was one of those more daring shots, done in a park in downtown Santa Ana. Literally as we walked away, three cops turned around the corner. It will take more than that to scare me off!

Trade Offers

Apart from concepts, I'm trying to push the boundaries of the trade genre. So many people forget the importance of a balanced trade, myself included. Well, I thought it would be fun to start coming up with creative ways to shoot with me.

Number One Offer Suggestion: Disneyland Passes. Not necessarily passes, per se, but if you happen to have a day job there (or an acquaintance with one) and could sign me +1 in, I will definitely shoot with you. My pass expired and finances have been tight. Disney has a plethora of slaves, er, employees, and one of them might just be you!

This is another shot from fantastic Mr. Lyon who's port and talent have only increased since we shot over a year ago. This one helped me get so many of those first gigs. Again, I really can't thank you enough Josh.

Enough Formating!

Let's start blogging. I mean, why the heck not, right? Well, I've been back for a while, but I'm starting to get really in to this again, even more than before. I have a boyfriend now who is vastly more supportive - he modeled before I ever thought of it! I'm revisiting Becker's idea, but with my own site this time. I'll be posting one picture every day! Hopefully, I'll have a decent little post to go along with it to. Right now, the creative energies are awake, and the concepts and ideas are flowing. Ideally, one of those will appear every day to, or close to it. Moreover, if you want to shoot with me, but don't know what to do, you can always skim through this new blog for inspiration. Happy blogging!

Here's a shot from my first shoot with Josh Lyon. I owe him so much for that fun, adventurous evening that forever turned me on to the artistic nude.
